Brooks Braga is co-founder and director of training at BRX Performance, a sports performance gym in the Greater Milwaukee area. Brooks works with several professional athletes and many youth student-athletes at BRX Performance.

 

He grew up in the Madison, WI area and played varsity baseball, football, and basketball for Middleton High School.  For his efforts, he was named the 2009 Wisconsin St. Journal “Prep Athlete of the Year,” given to the area’s top overall athlete.  In his senior year, Braga was a unanimous 1st team All-State running back in football, all-area in baseball, and all-conference in basketball.

 

Braga received his bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, where he played 4 years on the baseball team, finishing in the top 10 of a multitude of offensive categories.  With 25 career home runs, he sits at 2nd all-time at UW-L. 

 

Between his junior and senior years, Braga played with the Wisconsin Woodchucks of the prestigious Northwoods Collegiate Summer League.  He was named a NWL All-Star and finished with a .321 average, leading a team composed of several future top-10 round MLB draft picks in several offensive categories.

 

After his senior year of baseball at UW-L, Braga signed a professional contract with the Gary SouthShore Railcats of the American Association Independent League.

 

Braga concluded his undergraduate degree by completing an internship at world-renowned Cressey Sports Performance, which is located just west of Boston, MA.  There, he worked with many of CSP's 100+ professional athletes under the direction of a world-famous staff that included Eric Cressey and Tony Gentilcore.

 

Although he has a diverse athletic and educational background, Brooks specializes in bridging the gap between overhead sports, baseball, football, basketball, and strength and conditioning.  In addition to his duties as Director of Training at BRX Performance, Brooks also offers online coaching and consulting.  He currently resides in Waukesha, WI with his wife Kaila.
